A school appears here if its lowest published year-group fee is AED 30,000 or less, which is a statement about the entry point rather than the whole ladder. 271 UAE schools qualify: 97 in Dubai, 68 in Abu Dhabi, 61 in Sharjah, 23 in Ajman, 15 in Ras Al Khaimah and 7 in Fujairah. The list is also more mixed than the label suggests, and it is not mainly an Indian-curriculum one: 91 of the 271 teach a British curriculum, 78 follow CBSE and 70 are American.

An affordable first year is not the same as an affordable school. Emirates International School Meadows qualifies on a starting fee of AED 28,990 and reaches AED 85,976 by its most expensive year group, so a family joining in the early years faces a bill that nearly triples on the way through. Talem stores a fee for every published year group rather than a range, which is what makes that visible before a family commits.

At the genuinely low end the figures are much lower than the 30,000 threshold. Crescent English High School in Dubai has the lowest starting fee in the country at AED 2,859 and is rated Acceptable. The Indian High School in Bur Dubai, founded in 1961 and the oldest school in this list, runs AED 5,525 to AED 10,465 at Very Good, so its whole ladder stays under eleven thousand. GEMS Our Own Indian School in Al Quoz is AED 7,209 to AED 14,696, also Very Good.

Rating is where this list needs the most care: only 4 of the 271 are Outstanding and 53 are Very Good, so most sit at Good or below and are worth checking school by school. Two that hold Very Good across a full ladder are Delhi Private School Dubai in Academic City, on CBSE at AED 11,139 to AED 15,592, and The Winchester School in Jebel Ali, one of the British-curriculum options here, at AED 14,950 to AED 33,352.

How this list is built. A school appears here if its lowest published year-group fee is AED 30,000 or less. That is the entry point only; several schools in this list charge far more in the senior years, and each profile carries the full ladder. Fees are the school's own published figures for the current academic year, before sibling or early-payment discounts. The list is ordered cheapest first, is rebuilt from the database rather than maintained by hand, and no school pays to appear here or to sit higher.
