Greenwood International School

Greenwood International School (GIS) is a private, co-educational American-curriculum school in Muhaisnah First (Deira), Dubai, and one of the emirate's longest-established American schools (founded 1992). It teaches from KG1 to Grade 12 following the US curriculum aligned with the Common Core State Standards and Michigan State Standards alongside UAE Ministry of Education requirements, leading to the US High School Diploma with Advanced Placement (AP) courses and an unusually broad range of 36 high-school electives. The school is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and has held a KHDA rating of Good for nine consecutive years, placing it among Dubai's leading American schools. Its 2023-24 KHDA inspection rated health and safety and students' understanding of Islamic values Outstanding across all phases, with Very Good personal development and student support. GIS offers affordable American education (fees from about AED 20,124) and is known for inclusion, with a dedicated Inclusion Department, accessible facilities and a full on-site medical clinic.
Fees for 2026/2027, per year group. Excludes registration, uniform, and transport.
Tuition approved by KHDA for 2026/27. The school's own table splits the same figure into a re-registration deposit of AED 980 to 1,500 by stage and a balance; the deposit is deductible from the first term, so the figure above is the full annual fee rather than the balance after it. Books are charged separately, from AED 1,477 in KG1 to AED 5,368 in Grade 12, and uniform is AED 673. New-student registration runs AED 1,960 to 3,000 and is also deducted from tuition. Discounts are eligibility-based only: 5% for a second sibling and up to 75% for school employees. A laptop and software are required and are not priced on the school's table.
