Sharjah British International School (SBIS) is a private, co-educational British school in the School Zone on Maliha Road, Muwailih Commercial, Sharjah, established in 2002. It teaches the British National Curriculum alongside Cambridge Primary, Cambridge Lower Secondary and IGCSE leading to GCE AS and A Level, from Kindergarten (KG1) to Grade 12 (ages 3 to 18). A deliberately small school of around 473 students — roughly 202 of them Emirati — it maintains a low pupil-teacher ratio of about 1:9 and benchmarks attainment using CAT4, PISA, TIMSS and PIRLS. SBIS is rated Good by the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA), having been upgraded from Acceptable, and operates a Digital Campus learning portal. Its Board of Directors is chaired by Abdulla Khalifa Rashid Deemas Alsuwaidi, with fees ranging from AED 14,000 to 32,832.
