Merryland International School

Merryland International School (MIS) is a private, co-educational British school in the Mussafah (MBZ City) district of Abu Dhabi, and one of the emirate's oldest UK-curriculum schools. Founded in 1978 as a kindergarten by Mrs Susheela George and grown into a through-school of more than 2,700 students from around 60 nationalities, it relocated to a purpose-built campus in 2010. MIS delivers the University of Cambridge curriculum, Cambridge Primary, Lower Secondary, IGCSE and AS & A Level, from KG1 to Grade 12 (ages 4-18), and is recognised by Cambridge as a brand-ambassador "Pilot School". It is one of the most affordable Outstanding-rated British schools in Abu Dhabi, having earned ADEK's top Outstanding rating in 2017-18, 2022-23 and again for 2025-26, and its pupils collected 25 Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards in 2025. The campus is unusually well equipped for its fee level, with a planetarium, a Robotic Development Centre, a multipurpose indoor stadium and a temperature-controlled indoor pool.
Fees for 2026/2027, per year group. Excludes registration, uniform, and transport.
The figures shown are ADEK-approved tuition for 2026-2027. The school's own fee table publishes a higher "Total Fees" column - AED 26,200 at KG1 rising to AED 46,620 at Grade 12 - which is this tuition plus its book package, charged at the top of the range ADEK approves. That total is what a family is invoiced, so budget against it rather than against tuition alone. On top of it, a Ministry of Education books charge of AED 60 to 310 applies by grade and language stream, added to the first term. Returning students pay a re-registration fee of about 5% of tuition, which is deducted from the bill rather than added to it, and is retained if the child does not take up the place. The school does not run its own buses: transport is arranged with an outside provider and paid directly to them.
