Al Dhafra Private Schools – Al Ain

Al Dhafra Private Schools – Al Ain is a private, co-educational dual-curriculum school in Al Muwaiji, Al Ain, founded in 1989 and run by the Al Dhafra Private Schools group. All pupils follow the British National Curriculum from KG1 to Grade 8; from Grade 9 they choose either the British track (Cambridge IGCSE then AS/A Level) or the American track (US High School Diploma with Advanced Placement, Cognia-accredited). It is co-educational with separate boys' and girls' classes from Grade 4, and is an official SAT/ACT/AP test centre. Rated Very Good by ADEK (2024/25, improved from Good), it serves around 1,957 students from 39 nationalities, roughly 54% Emirati, with a low ~1:11 ratio and reports 100% university placement. (A separate American school, Al Dhafra Private Academy, also operates in Al Ain under the same group.)
Fees for 2026/2027, per year group. Excludes registration, uniform, and transport.
Tuition approved by ADEK for 2026-2027, and the school charges exactly its approved figure at every year group. The fees shown are the BRITISH track, which runs from FS2 to Year 13 at AED 13,510 rising to 25,340. The school also runs a separate AMERICAN track in the senior years, licensed separately by ADEK and priced differently: Grade 9 AED 21,110, Grade 10 24,090, Grade 11 24,670 and Grade 12 26,370. If your child is in the American stream, those are the figures that apply. The school has moved to British year-group naming at ADEK's instruction and publishes both labels during the transition, so KG1 is now FS2, KG2 is Year 1, and each later grade is one year higher than its old name. Tuition includes teaching only. Charged separately: books AED 800 to 3,420 by year group, uniform AED 490 to 655, and school transport at a flat AED 4,860 a year for all areas of Al Ain. ADEK also approves an optional device fee of AED 1,860 from Year 5 upward, which the school does not list on its own sheet. Registration is 5% of tuition, set against the third instalment and not refunded if the child does not join. Fees are paid in three instalments due in August, December and March, by cash, cheque or transfer; a returned cheque costs AED 250. No sibling, staff, early-payment or scholarship discount is published.
