GEMS Founders School - Al Mizhar (GFM) is a large, co-educational British curriculum school located in Al Mizhar 1, Dubai. Opened in 2018, the school delivers the English National Curriculum from Foundation Stage through to A-Levels and Level 3 BTEC qualifications, with Sixth Form (Post-16) introduced in September 2022. Part of the GEMS Education network, GFM is one of the most affordable British schools in Dubai, serving over 4,700 students from diverse backgrounds including a significant Emirati cohort of 520 students. The school emphasises computational thinking across the curriculum, from Bee-bots in early years to Python programming in secondary. Its Innovation Hub provides access to robotics, drones, and coding equipment. GFM holds NEASC accreditation and received an Outstanding rating in its April 2025 BSO inspection. The school is rated Good overall by KHDA for 2023-2024 with Outstanding ratings for Health & Safety and Management, and Very Good for Wellbeing and Inclusion. Guided by its mission of "Creating tomorrow's successful and caring citizens today," GFM integrates High Performance Learning and inquiry-based approaches across all key stages.
