GEMS Cambridge International School Abu Dhabi is a private, co-educational British school at Bawabat Al Sharq in Baniyas, part of GEMS Education. Founded in 2013, it teaches the National Curriculum for England from the Early Years Foundation Stage through IGCSE, AS and A Level, complemented by Edexcel BTEC Level 2 and Level 3, across FS1 to Year 13 (ages 3-18). One of the largest and most diverse British schools in the emirate — around 3,500 students from 88 nationalities, with Pakistani, Indian and Egyptian the biggest communities and Emiratis just over 20% — it offers a strong set of facilities at one of the more affordable British-curriculum fee bands in Abu Dhabi (AED 23,060-40,340). The school is rated Very Good by ADEK (held since 2021-22) and is led by Principal & CEO Hazel Govender. Its campus includes nine science laboratories, seven ICT suites, a 25-metre swimming pool, cricket nets and an indoor sports hall.
