Founded in 2003 and operated by GEMS Education, The Winchester School in Jebel Ali is a large British curriculum school teaching the National Curriculum for England from FS1 to Year 13, with IGCSE, AS and A Level pathways alongside BTEC Level 3 diplomas. Its stored KHDA judgements are from the 2023-2024 inspection, at which it was rated Very Good overall, with 4,303 students on roll taught by 234 teachers and 49 teaching assistants, a ratio of about 18 to 1. The school has been rated Very Good by KHDA since 2016. It supports 414 students of determination, close to 10 per cent of the roll, and KHDA rated its provision for them Very Good. Science is rated Outstanding for both attainment and progress in every phase. In June 2025, 57% of IGCSE entries were graded A*-A and 35% of A Level entries were graded A*-A, with a 100% A Level pass rate. The largest national group among both students and teachers is Indian.

Fees are for September 2026 to June 2027 and are unchanged from last year; KHDA records that the school requested no increase. Tuition is paid in three termly instalments of 40%, 30% and 30%, due in advance by 1 September, 1 January and 1 April, and may be paid online, by card, cheque, cash or wire transfer. Returning students pay a re-registration deposit of 5% of tuition, and new students an enrolment fee of up to 10%, both deducted from the first term. The school's page gives an application fee of AED 525 while KHDA's fact sheet states AED 500 including assessment, so confirm the current figure with the school. Sibling discounts begin at the fourth child, up to 25%, rising to up to 50% from the fifth; staff, scholarship and management concessions run up to 100%, and the Sheikha Fatima Award covers one girl in full. Uniform costs AED 650 to 2,400, books AED 100 to 600 and a digital device AED 515; transport is AED 5,000 to 8,000 and is invoiced separately, as are examination fees. Withdrawal requires 60 days notice.
