Sharjah English School

Sharjah English School (SES) is a private, not-for-profit, co-educational British school on Meliha Road, opposite University City in Sharjah. Founded in 1974 by a group of British companies for their employees' children, it is one of the oldest British schools in the UAE and follows the National Curriculum for England from the Early Years Foundation Stage through IGCSE/GCSE and A Levels, with a growing set of BTEC Level 3 courses. Set on a campus of roughly 100,000 m2, among the largest school sites in the UAE, SES serves around 1,000 students from 67 nationalities. It is rated Very Good and designated a Beacon school by the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA), and judged Outstanding under the UK's British Schools Overseas (BSO) framework.
Fees for 2026/2027, per year group. Excludes registration, uniform, and transport.
Tuition is the school's own published table, headed "School Fees 2026-2027", AED 28,420 (FS1) to 72,765 (Years 12 and 13), billed 40/30/30 across three terms. The figures are unchanged from the school's 2025/26 table, verified against archived captures of the same page. Tuition includes all books, medical services and classroom supplies; secondary students provide their own stationery. Uniform, transport, examination fees and school trips are excluded and are not priced on the site. The school prints "All fees are exclusive of VAT" against every column without stating a rate or what it applies to. A refundable security deposit of AED 5,000 per child is payable on acceptance and can be set against the final term, subject to a term's written notice. Admission testing costs AED 400 per student and is non-refundable whether or not the child is accepted. Families with three or more children receive 10% off the eldest child's term tuition; the school notes this is its own decision and not subject to regulator approval, so it is not reflected in the prices shown. Fees are not refundable pro rata if a pupil leaves mid-term.
