Abu Dhabi Indian School, Branch 1, in Al Wathba opened on 4 September 2014 as Abu Dhabi Indian School's first branch and teaches the Indian CBSE curriculum (affiliation 6630083, to senior secondary level) from KG1 to Grade 12 on a campus of 34,500 square metres, the school says. Classes are mixed up to Grade 4; from Grade 5 boys and girls are taught in separate sections. Every pupil learns Hindi in Grades 1 to 5; from Grade 6 the second language is Hindi or Malayalam, with French from Grade 8 and CBSE Arabic in Grades 9 and 10, and Grades 11 and 12 offer Science and Commerce/Humanities subjects. ADEK rated the school Very Good at its October 2024 inspection, up from Good, with teaching Very Good in every phase; it then had 3,443 students and 190 teachers. In 2025-26 all 215 Class 10 candidates passed the CBSE board examination, and 168 of 169 in Class 12, the school reports.

Tuition for 2026-27 runs from AED 8,978 (Grades 1 and 2) to AED 15,302 (Grade 12), with KG1 and KG2 at AED 9,360 (the school's annual fee charts of 10 March 2026). That is ADEK's approved maximum in kindergarten and below it from Grade 1 (ADEK's 2026-2027 letter: AED 11,360 to 20,000); the school's fee page says its fees are less than ADEK's approved fees. Each Grade 1 to 12 fee is AED 250 higher than in 2025-26; kindergarten is unchanged. First-quarter tuition includes the Ministry textbooks, the ACER assessment fee (Grades 3 to 9) and the CBSE fees (Grades 9 to 12). With the AED 400 book fee and the AED 10.50 ID card, the charts bill current students AED 9,770.50 (KG) to AED 15,712.50 (Grade 12) a year; new students also pay refundable caution money. ADEK caps the uniform at AED 500; the school publishes no uniform price.

Kindergarten
KG1-KG2The school's kindergarten curriculum, aligned with ADEK guidelines and NCERT Early Learning Goals, is play-based and spiral, with Arabic and Islamic Studies, a Heritage Room on UAE traditions, field trips and No Bag Days; children are assessed continuously over three terms (Kindergarten Curriculum Overview 2026-27).
Primary
Grades 1-5The CBSE curriculum (NCF 2005 and NEP 2020): English, mathematics, EVS, Hindi for every pupil and computer, with the Ministry subjects Arabic, Islamic Studies for Muslim pupils, Moral, Social and Cultural Studies and, from Grade 4, UAE Social Studies (2026-27 curriculum overview and assessment schedule). Classes are mixed to Grade 4; Grade 5 has separate boys' and girls' sections.
Middle
Grades 6-8Separate boys' and girls' sections. The second language is Hindi or Malayalam, with French also offered from Grade 8, and AI is taught as a vocational subject from Grade 6 (2026-27 curriculum overview).
Secondary
Grades 9-10The CBSE secondary course to the Class 10 board examination, with a second language from French, Hindi, Malayalam and CBSE Arabic and AI as a vocational subject to Grade 10 (2026-27 curriculum overview). Senior Secondary
Grades 11-12Science or Commerce/Humanities subjects with English and the Ministry subjects, leading to the CBSE Class 12 examination; physical education as a subject needs a fitness test (2026-27 curriculum overview).
