The Sheffield Private School (TSPS) is a co-educational British curriculum school in Al Nahda 2, Dubai, for children aged 3 to 18, from FS1 to Year 13. It opened in 2004 and is owned and managed by Britus Education. Children follow the Early Years Foundation Stage in FS1 and FS2 and the National Curriculum for England from Year 1, alongside the UAE Ministry of Education subjects: Arabic, Islamic studies (PSHE for non-Muslim students), social studies and moral education. Students take IGCSEs and BTEC First courses in Years 10 and 11, and international AS and A levels, BTEC Nationals or a blend of the two in the sixth form. KHDA rated the school Good at its November 2023 inspection, as at every inspection since 2016-17 after Acceptable from 2008-09 to 2015-16, with wellbeing Very Good and health and safety Outstanding in every phase. In February 2025 the Independent Schools Inspectorate found the school meets the standards for British Schools Overseas, apart from those UAE law precludes, and judged pupils' learning and achievement, and their personal development, excellent. The school follows the High Performance Learning approach, and its enrichment includes the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award, TEDxYouth@TSPSDubai and the Sheffield Model United Nations. Facilities include a covered five-lane swimming pool with a separate learner pool, AstroTurf football and hockey pitches, covered netball courts, an auditorium hall with facilities for volleyball, badminton and basketball, three ICT suites, science laboratories and a library with a qualified librarian. Annual tuition fees

Tuition is the KHDA-approved fee for 2026-27, the same figures as the school's own fee page, which is still headed 2025-26: AED 23,631 for FS1 and FS2, AED 28,059 for Years 1 to 6, AED 33,231 for Years 7 to 9, AED 36,921 for Years 10 and 11 and AED 44,563 for Years 12 and 13. KHDA records that the school requested no increase for 2026-27, after a 2.35% increase for 2025-26. A book fee is charged every year on top of tuition, listed by KHDA as mandatory and by the school as non-refundable; for Years 10 to 13 the school spreads each two-year book fee across both years. Tuition is paid as a deposit on accepting a place and then three termly payments, and does not include external examinations, uniform, transport, extra-curricular activities or trips.

Stages & pathways
Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
FS1–FS2FS1 and FS2 follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework from the UK. Children learn through play, indoors and outdoors every day, and each child's progress is recorded on the Tapestry app; by the end of FS2 an EYFS profile records progress towards the Early Learning Goals.
Key Stage 1
Years 1–2Years 1 and 2 follow the National Curriculum for England with the UAE Ministry of Education subjects. Teaching is a little more formal than in the Early Years, with an emphasis on literacy and numeracy, and Arabic begins in Year 1.
Key Stage 2
Years 3–6Years 3 to 6 continue the National Curriculum for England with the Ministry of Education subjects, on a more structured timetable with discrete lessons for specialist subjects. French starts in Year 5.
Key Stage 3
Years 7–9Years 7 to 9 build on Key Stage 2 and lay the foundation for Key Stage 4, on the lines of the National Curriculum for England with the Ministry of Education subjects. Artificial intelligence is a separate subject in Year 7 and part of computing in Years 8 and 9. At the end of Year 9 students choose their IGCSE options.
Key Stage 4 - IGCSE & BTEC
Years 10–11Years 10 and 11 take two-year IGCSE and GCSE courses from Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel and AQA, with BTEC First courses in sport, IT and business as coursework-assessed alternatives. Students choose one subject from each of five option blocks and complete eight IGCSE qualifications at the end of Year 11; the school does not enter students early in Year 10.
Sixth Form - A-Levels & BTEC
Years 12–13Students choose one of three pathways: international AS and A levels (four AS subjects in Year 12, three continued to A level in Year 13), BTEC Level 3 qualifications in business, sport and IT, or a blend of the two. The 2025-26 options booklet lists accounting, art and design, biology, business, chemistry, computer science, economics, English language, information technology, mathematics, media studies, physics, psychology and politics, from Pearson Edexcel, Cambridge International and AQA.

Facilities
ICT Suites
Three fully equipped IT suites in which each student has a computer. Classrooms have networked computers, tablets, projectors and interactive smart boards, the school is Wi-Fi enabled, and trolleys of tablets and laptops are available.
Library
A dedicated library stocked with books and resources chosen to support learning, with a qualified librarian. Foundation Stage and primary classes have library lessons, and the library runs Destiny software for searching and borrowing books.
Art Studio
A well-resourced art studio that gives students the opportunity to develop their artistic abilities.
Music Room
A well-resourced music room. Music is taught from Year 1 and is also an after-school activity.
Science Labs
Chemistry, physics and biology laboratories with preparation rooms, shown on the school's 2024 evacuation plans; primary and secondary students have specialised teaching areas for science.
Swimming Pools
A large covered five-lane swimming pool and a separate learner pool, used by primary and secondary students. Both are temperature controlled and connected to separate changing rooms for boys and girls, and the pool is checked daily (ISI, February 2025).
