About The Sheffield Private School

The Sheffield Private School (TSPS) is a co-educational British curriculum school located in Al Nahda, Dubai, established in 2004 and owned by Britus Education. The school offers the English National Curriculum from FS1 through Year 13, with IGCSE, A-Level, and BTEC qualifications. Rated Good by KHDA for 2023-2024 with Very Good ratings in wellbeing, the school has progressively improved from Acceptable (2008-2015) to Good (2016-2024). TSPS features a High Performance Learning programme, an Ultra Curriculum enrichment programme, and a House System. Stages & pathways

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

FS1–FS2

Follows the UK Early Years Foundation Stage framework with a focus on play-based learning and developing foundational skills in communication, literacy, and numeracy.

Key Stage 1

Years 1–2

Core academic subjects alongside foundation subjects. Students develop fundamental literacy, numeracy, and scientific inquiry skills.

Key Stage 2

Years 3–6

Broader and deeper curriculum with increasing subject specialisation. Students develop higher-order thinking skills and prepare for the transition to secondary education.

Key Stage 3

Years 7–9

Comprehensive and balanced curriculum designed to develop higher-order thinking skills. Students follow a broad range of subjects before selecting their IGCSE options at the end of Year 9.

Key Stage 4 — IGCSE & BTEC

Years 10–11

Students prepare for internationally recognised qualifications including IGCSEs and BTECs. Core subjects are mandatory alongside a range of option subjects chosen by the student.

Sixth Form — A-Levels & BTEC

Years 12–13

Students choose to study AS and A-Levels or BTEC qualifications. Key Stage 5 provides a solid foundation for higher education, whether at university, college, or in preparation for entry into a professional career.
