Deira Private School (DePS) is a private co-educational British curriculum school located in Al Twar 3, Dubai, serving students from Foundation Stage 1 through Year 9. Founded in 2009 and managed by Royal Ambition Educational Investments (part of the Chubby Cheeks Nursery group), the school educates approximately 900 students from over 75 nationalities. DePS delivers the National Curriculum for England enriched with Cambridge International Programmes and UAE Ministry of Education requirements for Arabic, Islamic Education, and Moral Education. The school places strong emphasis on character education and wellbeing, branding itself as a "Happy School" guided by values of kindness, caring, respect, and responsibility. The school publishes two columns, an "Actual Fee" and a "Total Discounted Fees", and from Year 4 upward the second is lower - most sharply in Years 7 to 9, where the billed figure is AED 30,925 against an approved AED 41,147. Its own termly breakdown is calculated on the discounted figure, in three instalments of 40%, 30% and 30% due in August, December and March. KHDA registers a discount for Years 6 to 9 that applies to every family; the school reduces Years 4 and 5 as well and goes further than the regulator requires higher up. A mandatory activity fee of AED 1,200 and a per-grade books and resources charge of AED 2,800 to 4,100 are billed on top of tuition.
