Al Ansar International School Sharjah is a private, co-educational British school in the Al Gharayen / Al Qarain area of Sharjah, delivering the UK National Curriculum within an Islamic ethos. Established in 2001, it teaches from the Early Years Foundation Stage through Cambridge IGCSE, AS and A-Level (examined via Cambridge International, Pearson Edexcel and Oxford AQA), and runs both a UK-curriculum stream and a UAE Ministry of Education stream. Classes are mixed in the early years and segregated from around Grade 4. With around 2,739 students (including 644 Emiratis), Al Ansar is rated Very Good by the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) — an improvement from Acceptable in 2018 — and is a registered Cambridge examination centre with a strong Arabic-English dual-language emphasis.
