Established in 1961 as the first expatriate educational institution in the UAE, The Indian High School is a not-for-profit CBSE school serving Grades 5 to 12 at its flagship Oud Metha campus. Co-educational with gender-segregated shifts, the school enrols over 5,300 students with 319 teachers. Recently expanded campus includes a 60,000 sq ft new block with smart classrooms, a wellness centre, and a Future Forward innovation lab alongside a 1,800-seat auditorium and comprehensive indoor and outdoor sports complex.

Fees are KHDA-approved annual tuition for 2026/2027, charged over ten months. The Indian High School is a not-for-profit institution and this campus teaches Grades 5 to 12; Pre-KG to Grade 4 is taught at the Al Garhoud campus. A once-yearly mandatory charge covering exam materials, laboratory, e-learning and technology runs from AED 1,000 to 1,250 by grade, and students joining Oud Metha for the first time pay a non-refundable facility fee of AED 2,100. Board examination fees are charged by the examination board itself with no school mark-up. New students pay an application fee of AED 500; re-enrolment is up to 5% of tuition or AED 500, whichever is higher, deductible from term one.

KHDA 2023–2024 inspection
