New Indian Model School (NIMS) is one of the oldest Indian curriculum schools in Dubai, established in 1980 in Al Garhoud and founded by Dr. M. K. Kamaluddin Haji to provide affordable, modern education to the Indian community. The school follows the CBSE curriculum from KG1 through Grade 12, with Science and Commerce streams at the senior secondary level. Rated Good by KHDA for 2023-2024 after twelve consecutive years at Acceptable, NIMS achieved Outstanding ratings in personal and social development across all phases, with Very Good performance in Mathematics and English at the KG level. The campus spans over 5 acres and features fully equipped Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Home Science laboratories, three computer labs, a multimedia lab with SMART boards, a library with nearly 16,000 books, an auditorium, and a Happiness Center supporting student emotional health and resilience. Boys and girls are taught separately from Grade 5 to Grade 12. The school enrols approximately 7,270 students and employs over 400 staff members. NIMS is known for its strong volleyball programme, having qualified for the National CBSE Volleyball Tournament in India.

The school publishes banded prices - one figure covering Grades 1 to 3, another Grades 4 to 7, another Grades 8 and 9, and another Grades 11 and 12. Grades 11 and 12 offer Science and Commerce streams at the same price. The school runs separate boys' and girls' sections, though it does not publish which year groups that begins at. The academic year runs April to March. Registration is AED 100 and non-refundable; admission, annual, ID, diary and magazine fees are payable with the first instalment but are not published.
