International Academic School

International Academic School (IAS) is a private co-educational American curriculum school located in Al Warqa 1, Dubai. Founded in September 2006 with just 50 students, the school has grown to serve over 1,300 students from more than 60 nationalities. IAS is Dubai's first WASC-accredited school and was acquired by the Athena Education Group in December 2018. The school follows the Californian Common Core State Standards for English and Mathematics, Next Generation Science Standards for Science, and the UAE Ministry of Education programme for Arabic, Islamic Education, and Social Studies. IAS offers a comprehensive American education from KG1 through Grade 12, culminating in an American High School Diploma with Advanced Placement (AP) course options. The school maintains a teacher-to-student ratio of approximately 1:14 and emphasises an international, multicultural learning environment.
Fees for 2026/2027, per year group. Excludes registration, uniform, and transport.
Tuition for 2026-2027 as published by the school. The figures shown are tuition only. The school's own fee table also prints a total that adds books, uniform, an identity card, benchmark tests, English immersion, skill development, a STEM programme, a medical fee and VAT, but the page marks all of those optional, and that total runs between AED 2,400 and AED 7,100 higher. New students pay a non-refundable AED 525 registration fee, and returning families pay a deposit of 5 per cent of tuition or AED 500, whichever is higher, which is set against the next year's fees. The school's fee page and its withdrawal policy describe that AED 525 differently, one as an additional charge and the other as deductible, so both are recorded here. If a family withdraws, fees are charged by how long the child attended that term: one month deducted for up to two weeks, two months for up to a month, and the full term beyond that, calculated from the official withdrawal date rather than the last day attended. The school publishes no discount or scholarship. Transport is charged separately by zone, from AED 4,150 to AED 8,550 a year, and a transfer certificate costs AED 120.
