Accept & Enrol
Accept your offer, pay the tuition deposit to secure your place, and complete the enrolment process including visa application if required.
Entry Requirements
Completion of high school / Year 12 or equivalent with minimum 60% overall or equivalent grades. Specific subject requirements vary by programme.
IELTS: 5.5 overall (no band below 5.0) or TOEFL: 65 overall. Applicants with lower scores may be considered for a Pre-Sessional English course.
Personal statement required. Some programmes may require specific subjects at high school level (e.g., Mathematics for Engineering foundation).

Required Documents
Visa Information
The University of Birmingham Dubai sponsors student visas for enrolled full-time students. The university will initiate the visa process after you accept your offer and pay the required deposit.

Admissions Office

Student Life
Life at the University of Birmingham Dubai extends well beyond the lecture hall. Located in Dubai International Academic City, the campus offers a vibrant student community with over 36 clubs and societies, dedicated career services, partner accommodation, and the unique option to transfer to the UK Edgbaston campus. The Students' Association, run by six elected students, organises events throughout the year and advocates for the student body.
Study at the UK Edgbaston Campus
Students are given the option to transfer to the University of Birmingham's historic Edgbaston campus in the UK after completing their first year in Dubai. This provides an international study experience while maintaining continuity on the same degree programme.
Transfer is subject to availability and meeting progression requirements. UK visa (Student Route) will be required for international students. The university provides support with the visa process.
Accommodation
The university partners with dedicated student accommodation providers near campus in Dubai International Academic City. Options include ensuite rooms in shared apartments with facilities such as gyms, social spaces, Wi-Fi, and utilities included. Shuttle transport services to campus are provided at key times.
Modern student residence offering single and shared rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Includes weekly housekeeping, social spaces, gym access, and shuttle service to campus.
AED 2,500 refundable deposit
Minimum 1 month. Daily rates available for short-term stays.

Careers & Employability
The Careers Network Dubai is part of the university's award-winning careers service. Students have access to a dedicated Careers Advice and Guidance Manager and an Employer Engagement Manager on campus, plus full access to the UK careers team online.
All undergraduate students complete the Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Sustainability (EIS) module. The Intercampus Enterprise Competition lets students from Dubai and Edgbaston pitch ideas to win £5,000 in prizes.
Held on campus twice a year, exclusively for students and recent graduates. Past participants include L'Oreal, Standard Chartered, Siemens, Michael Page, Barclays, Adecco, Keolis-MHI (Dubai Metro), and Veolia.

Run by students, for students. Six elected Student Leaders represent the student body, collect feedback, and work with the Student Guild in the UK to organise trips, extracurricular activities, and advocacy. Student elections are held yearly.

The campus is located next to DIAC Park, a large outdoor space with sports facilities, changing rooms, and observatory points. The university has also partnered with local gyms and fitness studios for discounted student rates.
