Around 30 hours of weekly contact time through lectures, tutorials and computer-lab sessions, supplemented by self-guided study. Assessment is a mix of coursework, practical work and a final project.
Six core taught modules (120 credits) across biology, programming, statistics, genomics and omics.
An individual bioinformatics research project (60 credits).

Graduates progress into roles as bioinformaticians, pharmaceutical scientists, biostatisticians, medical data scientists and medical AI architects across pharma, government and academia.
