Established in 1993, the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) is the first international Australian university in the UAE and one of the emirate's longest-established universities. A branch campus of the University of Wollongong (ranked =184 in the QS World University Rankings 2026), UOWD offers more than 40 bachelor's and master's degrees across business, computer science, engineering, information technology, media, psychology, education and health. Every degree is accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education's Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA), licensed by the KHDA, and awarded by UOW Australia, so graduates earn the same internationally recognised Australian qualification and can transfer to the Wollongong or Sydney campuses. The 200,000 sq ft "Campus of the Future" in Dubai Knowledge Park opened in 2020 and is home to over 3,500 students from 108 nationalities, with 83% of graduates employed within six months. Professional accreditations include AACSB, ACCA, ACS, CIM, CIPD, CPA, Engineers Australia and PMI.

All fees are inclusive of 5% VAT (from 1 January 2018) and are subject to change. Yearly cost varies with the number of subjects enrolled. USD equivalents are indicative at 1 USD = 3.67 AED and exclude textbooks, stationery, and incidental costs. Registration and subject fees are payable when you accept an offer. Undergraduate tuition is shown per year on each programme; postgraduate study is billed per subject, with typical totals shown on each programme.
For new bachelor students, awarded by curriculum grade across three tiers (50%, 25%, 15%) — for example IB 40/35/30, A-Levels 3A/2A/1A, CBSE 95/85/80%, UAE Thanawiya 98/90/85%. Awarded first-come, first-served; retained with a cumulative WAM of 75 or above.
For new master students, awarded by prior-degree grade across two tiers (25%, 15%) — for example UK 70/65%, UAE GPA 3.8/3.5, India 75/70%. Retained with a WAM of 65 or above.
Sports scholarship for undergraduate and postgraduate entrants who demonstrate sporting achievement. Limited number awarded each year.

Complete the UOWD application form and submit it with your academic transcripts, certificates, passport copy, and English test result to Student Recruitment.
The admissions team assesses your application against the programme requirements and issues a conditional or unconditional offer letter.
Accept your offer and pay the registration and subject fees to secure your place. Apply for any scholarship you are eligible for before the relevant deadline.
If you need a visa, UOWD initiates sponsorship after payment. Complete medical, biometrics, and Emirates ID steps, then enrol for your first trimester.
UOWD sponsors UAE student visas for enrolled students. After you accept your offer and pay the visa and subject fees, UOWD issues an entry permit (typically 10-15 business days), followed by a medical examination, biometrics, and Emirates ID. Applicants under 18 are exempt from the medical test.

Student life spans 25 clubs and societies, dedicated career services, partner accommodation, and a free metro shuttle, plus the option to transfer to the University of Wollongong campuses in Australia.
UOWD does not operate on-campus halls of residence. It partners with a preferred student residence and helps students find suitable housing near campus.
