Brighton College Dubai is a co-educational British school in Al Barsha South, Dubai, for pupils aged 3 to 18 (FS1 to Year 13). It opened in 2018 and is part of the Brighton College family of schools, working in partnership with Brighton College in the UK and its local partner, Bloom Education. Pupils move through the Pre-Prep (FS1 to Year 2), the Prep School (Years 3 to 6), the Senior School (Years 7 to 11) and the Sixth Form, following the Brighton College Curriculum, which is based on the National Curriculum of England and Wales and leads to GCSEs and IGCSEs, A Levels and BTEC qualifications. KHDA rated the school Very Good at its 2023-24 inspection, with Outstanding judgements in every phase for students' personal development, social responsibility and health and safety, and for parents and the community and the school's management. British Schools Overseas inspectors from Education Development Trust found it "an outstanding school" in October 2025, when it had 1,440 pupils.

The school states it is "currently offering discounts on the approved KHDA school fees", so the KHDA-approved column alongside is the fee before that discount, between AED 3,155 and AED 20,813 higher depending on year group; KHDA's 2026-27 fact sheets give the same discounted figures as Total Fees and record that the school requested no increase for 2026-27. Fees include the standard curriculum with sports and arts, over 200 College-provided activities, the sibling club, careers guidance and transport to sports fixtures. Out-of-hours activities, optional trips, food, transport and examination fees are extra.

KHDA 2023–2024 inspection
The Early Years Foundation Stage framework in FS1 and FS2, with Read Write Inc. phonics and a maths-mastery approach, then the National Curriculum for England in Years 1 and 2. Specialist teachers take PE, swimming, music and Arabic in the Early Years, adding computing, drama and French from Year 1. Bright Start, a free readiness programme, welcomes new Early Years families from April to June.
The National Curriculum for England at Key Stage 2 in the core subjects, with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) for other subjects, plus Arabic, Islamic Education and Moral, Social and Cultural Studies as KHDA requires. Specialist lessons cover PE, swimming, music, computer science, drama, French and art, with design and technology from Year 5 and Spanish and German in Year 6.
Lower Seniors (Years 7 to 9) study English, Arabic, mathematics, science, art, design and technology, drama, computer science, music and PE, with The Story of Our Land, a humanities course framed by UAE history, in Years 7 and 8 and French, Spanish or German from Year 7. Upper Seniors (Years 10 and 11) take between 9 and 11 GCSEs and IGCSEs: English language, English literature, mathematics and the sciences, plus four options, with some subjects taught "stage not age".
A Levels and BTEC Level 3 courses, valued equally: pupils usually begin four subjects in Year 12 and narrow to three. The Extended Project Qualification and the Brighton College Sixth Form diploma add research, reading and volunteering, all Year 12 pupils do work experience, and a full-time Futures Counsellor guides university applications.
Large, bright classrooms with the latest educational technology; 12 new classrooms and learning spaces were added recently as the roll grew (BSO, October 2025).
Biology, chemistry and physics are taught in specialist laboratories.
Two well-stocked libraries (BSO, October 2025). Pupils from FS1 to Year 6 have a weekly library lesson, and the school runs Accelerated Reader.
A 25-metre pool. Swimming lessons run from FS1 to the Sixth Form with specialist instructors, and squad sessions start in Year 1.
Football pitches, a full-size rugby pitch and two new artificial turf pitches (BSO, October 2025), with a 400m running track.
A fully equipped gym and indoor courts for PE and sport.
Tennis, padel tennis and hard courts.
A black box drama studio and a drama room; the school stages two major performances a year.
Head Master
Head Master of Brighton College Dubai since 2019 (KHDA). He has worked in the Brighton College family of schools for over a decade, previously as Head of School at Brighton College Abu Dhabi, and before that in the independent sector in Cheshire, UK. He is a qualified team inspector for the Independent Schools Inspectorate and the parent of three pupils at the school.
