Bilingual French International School

Bilingual French International School (BFIS), formerly International Concept for Education (ICE), is a co-educational bilingual French school in Nad Al Sheba 1, Meydan, Dubai, opened in 2013 and renamed in 2024. It follows the French National Curriculum, homologated by the French Ministry of Education (AEFE), and delivers a genuinely bilingual French-English education from the Maternelle (Petite Section, age 3) through the Élémentaire, Collège and Lycée to Terminale (age 18). The school overlays international pathways, the IB Primary Years and Diploma Programmes, Cambridge IGCSE and the Baccalauréat Français International, and teaches Arabic as both a first and additional language plus Spanish. Set in a distinctive horse-shoe campus wrapped around the Meydan Tennis Academy, BFIS serves around 570 students, the largest group French nationals alongside many francophone families from Lebanon and North Africa. In its 2023-24 KHDA inspection it was rated Very Good overall, with Outstanding arrangements for health, safety and child protection, very good teaching, and excellent partnerships with parents, led by Proviseure Abir Alaywan.
