Cheapest Universities in Dubai: 2026 Fees Compared

A degree in Dubai does not have to cost six figures. Several internationally ranked universities start their annual tuition around the price of a mid-range school year, and merit scholarships routinely knock 10 to 50 per cent off the published rate. This guide ranks the universities in Dubai by their lowest published annual tuition, with the ranking and ceiling alongside so you can see exactly what the entry price buys.

The low end of each range is usually a foundation year or the most accessible undergraduate programme; specialist master's degrees sit at the top. Per-programme fees are on each university's profile.

How to read the ranking column. Where a QS position is shown it is the parent institution's global rank, not a rank for the Dubai campus: QS does not rank branch campuses separately. The edition also differs by institution, as labelled, so these are not strictly like-for-like with one another.

What the affordable end actually buys

The striking thing about this table is that cheap does not mean unranked. Murdoch, the lowest entry point at AED 25,000, is a QS top-500 Australian university; Wollongong, at AED 31,385, sits inside the world top 200. Even Birmingham Dubai, a QS top-100 institution, opens its foundation year at AED 41,136.

The Indian institutions are the value anchor of the middle band. Manipal caps out under AED 58,000 across its whole portfolio, Amity's engineering and business degrees start at AED 36,300, and Symbiosis runs its whole bachelor's and master's portfolio between AED 42,000 and 53,550.

Four ways to cut these numbers further

  • Merit scholarships. Most universities on this list publish awards of 10 to 50 per cent of tuition for strong grades, and several add sports and sibling awards. Always apply; the published fee is a starting point.
  • Foundation versus direct entry. A foundation year adds a year of fees. If your grades and English scores qualify you for direct Year 1 entry, the total cost drops sharply.
  • Early-bird and full-payment discounts. Several universities reduce fees for early acceptance or upfront annual payment. Ask admissions directly.
  • Compare per programme, not per university. The same university can charge very different fees across degrees. Check the exact programme's fee on its Talem page before ruling anywhere out.
