BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus (BPDC) is the international campus of the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, one of India's leading private technical universities. Established in 2000, it was the first Indian university to open an overseas campus, and in September 2007 it moved into its permanent home in Dubai International Academic City, Dubai's purpose-built higher-education free zone. The campus delivers BITS Pilani's credit-based curriculum and its distinctive Practice School model entirely in English, offering Bachelor of Engineering degrees across a range of specializations, a BBA Honours, Master of Engineering and MBA programmes, and PhD research across engineering and science disciplines. The campus is regulated in the UAE through KHDA and Dubai International Academic City, earned a QS 5-star rating via KHDA in 2022, and secured accreditation from the UAE Commission for Academic Accreditation in 2025. Led since August 2024 by Director Prof. Souri Banerjee, BPDC enrols on the order of a thousand or more new students per intake and emphasises industry readiness through its seven-and-a-half-month Practice School internships with more than 400 companies across the UAE. In 2025 it marked 25 years in the UAE and hosts the region's largest inter-university sports festival, the BITS Sports Festival.

BITS Pilani Dubai charges tuition per semester (two semesters a year), payable before each semester's registration. Indicative figures place the Bachelor of Engineering at roughly AED 27,750 per semester (about AED 55,500 per year) and the taught master's programmes in the region of AED 16,000 to 17,000 per semester, with the PhD at a low research-fee rate; all figures are indicative because the official campus fee pages were unavailable at build time and must be confirmed on bits-dubai.ac.ae. Students also budget for a one-time AED 220 application fee, UAE student-visa fees, mandatory medical insurance, and, for residents, hostel and mess charges of roughly AED 20,000 per semester plus a refundable AED 2,000 caution deposit. A 5% VAT applies to most charges. Generous merit scholarships of up to 75% of first-year tuition, and up to a full waiver for board toppers, can substantially reduce the first-year cost.
Placed 1st / 2nd / 3rd in a recognised national or international board with a minimum 90% aggregate.
Banded on the Grade 12 aggregate: 40% for 95% and above, 25% for 90 to 94.9%, 15% for 80 to 89.9%, 10% for 70 to 79.9%.
A strong BITSAT score (for example 300 or above) unlocks an enhanced merit award (BITSAT is optional for Dubai admission).
Unlike the Indian campuses, BITS Pilani Dubai does not require the BITSAT entrance exam. Admission to the Bachelor of Engineering programmes is merit-based on Class 12 (Grade 12) board marks, and a strong BITSAT score is optional, unlocking additional scholarship rather than admission. Postgraduate admission is based on the qualifying degree (with an interview for the MBA), and doctoral admission on a relevant master's degree.
