The premium end of British schooling in Dubai gets most of the attention, but the majority of families are shopping well below AED 30,000 a year. The good news: Dubai has a deep bench of British-curriculum schools at genuinely accessible fees, many of them KHDA rated Good or better. The catch is that the cheapest seats fill fastest, and fee tables on school websites rarely make comparison easy.
This guide ranks twenty of the most affordable British schools in Dubai by their lowest published annual fee, from live listings on Talem in July 2026. The fee shown is the range from the lowest year group to the highest, so check where your child's year lands before comparing.

How to read this list
Price and quality do not move in lockstep. The standout on this list is The Winchester School, the only Very Good rated school here, with fees starting under AED 15,000. A cluster of long-established Good rated schools sits below it: The Apple International School, St. Mary's Catholic High School, The Westminster School, Al Diyafah, and The Oxford School have educated generations of Dubai families at fees the premium end cannot approach.
The Acceptable rated schools at the very bottom of the fee range are not automatically a compromise, but visit them, read the latest KHDA report, and ask specifically what the school is working to improve. The gap between a strong Acceptable school and a weak one is wider than the rating suggests.
What to check before you commit
- Fees rise with the years. A school charging AED 7,000 in FS2 may charge double that by Year 11. The range column shows the full spread; project the whole journey with the fee calculator.
- Extras add up faster at budget schools. Transport, books, uniform, and exam fees are a bigger share of the total when tuition is low. Ask for the full list of mandatory charges.
- Seats move quickly. The affordable end of the British segment has the tightest supply in Dubai. If a school fits, register early.
