The British School Al Khubairat (BSAK) is a private, co-educational, not-for-profit British school in Al Mushrif, Abu Dhabi, and one of the oldest schools in the emirate. Founded in January 1968 on land donated by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, it moved to its purpose-built Al Mushrif campus (just off Airport Road) in 1980. It is the Embassy School in the UAE, under the patronage of the British Ambassador. BSAK follows the National Curriculum for England from the Early Years Foundation Stage through IGCSE, then offers 24 A Levels alongside six BTEC and vocational subjects in the Sixth Form (FS1 to Year 13, ages 3-18). It has around 2,000 students, with Britain, the UAE and the USA the largest nationalities and Emirati students making up 14.88% of the roll, taught by 152 teachers and 62 teaching assistants at a 1:13 ratio. It is rated Outstanding by ADEK and Outstanding in all eight standards under the UK British Schools Overseas framework. In 2026 its A Level cohort achieved 69% A*-A, 89% A*-B and a 100% pass rate, its GCSE cohort 66% at grades 9-7, and its BTEC students 100% Distinction*/Distinction; alumni go on to Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, Harvard, MIT and Stanford. As a not-for-profit community school it reinvests fees into its facilities.

The school page itself carries no academic year and its linked fee documents are still labelled 2025/26; ADEK publishes the identical figures as its approved schedule for 2026-2027, which is the year recorded here. Foundation Stage is priced two ways: a Core Day at AED 45,560 and an Extended Day at AED 51,410, the latter being the rate ADEK approves and the same rate charged in Reception. Textbooks and materials carry no additional charge. External examination entry is the parent responsibility and is not published. A one-off, non-refundable application fee of AED 250 applies. The optional school bus is AED 8,000 a year, billed 3,200 / 2,400 / 2,400 across the three terms. No sibling, staff or early-payment discount is published. The Music Scholar Programme, for Years 10 to 13, carries no published monetary value and applications for the 2026 intake have closed.

ADEK records that the premises include a theatre, performance spaces and a conference hall alongside a wide range of specialist teaching rooms.
A new science block, described by ADEK as the Science and Innovation Centre, opened in September 2023 to complement what its inspectors called first-rate existing science facilities.
Two well-stocked libraries: ADEK records approximately 30,000 books in the primary library and 11,000 in the secondary, including Arabic titles. Every phase has a weekly library session and the libraries are accessible at all times.
The award-winning Secondary Art Department is home to four well-equipped studios, with pathways in Fine Art, Photography and Graphic Design at GCSE and A Level.
A newly designed soundproof rehearsal space, purpose built for recording, connected to a dedicated 21-track recording studio with drum kit, upright piano and Yamaha speakers.
ADEK records media and technology spaces equipped with 3-D printers, and extensive practical laboratory work through to Year 13 chemistry.
A new primary dining hall, designed with a water filtration unit in place of plastic water barrels.
