The British School Al Khubairat (BSAK) is a private, co-educational, not-for-profit British school in Al Mushrif, Abu Dhabi, and one of the oldest schools in the emirate. Founded in January 1968 on land donated by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, it moved to its purpose-built Al Mushrif campus (just off Airport Road) in 1980. BSAK follows the National Curriculum for England from the Early Years Foundation Stage through IGCSE, then offers 23 A-Level options alongside BTEC Level 3 in the Sixth Form (FS1 to Year 13, ages 3-18). Home to around 2,000 students from 50 nationalities — roughly two-thirds British — it is rated Outstanding by ADEK (top in all six standards in 2018-19, again in 2022-23) and Outstanding under the UK's British Schools Overseas framework, and is consistently ranked the number-one A-Level school in Abu Dhabi by parents. As a not-for-profit community school it reinvests fees into its facilities, which include a 600-capacity auditorium, a 340-seat theatre, a new Science and Innovation Centre, indoor swimming pools and extensive sports provision.
