Mandatory modules (Sep intake): Foundations of Energy (Sep), Technology Futures and Business Strategy (Jan), Critical Analysis and Research Preparation (Jan), Masters Dissertation (May). January intake follows the same modules in shifted order. Optional modules: Electrical Power Systems, Renewable Energy Technologies, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, Economics of Renewable Energy, Heat Exchangers and Heat Transfer, Climate Change, Sustainability and Adaptation, Environmental Impact Assessment, Demand Management and Energy Storage, Advanced Thermodynamic Applications, Energy Systems and Buildings. Virtual learning environment (Canvas) enables flexible study alongside professional work; January entrants are not required on campus during the summer break. Entry: a good relevant Honours degree (first or second class) in an engineering or science discipline. Acceptable backgrounds: chemical / mechanical / electrical / environmental / civil / marine / aerospace engineering, plus chemistry or physics with strong mathematics. IELTS 6.0 (no band below 5.5). September and January intakes. Full-time 1 year; part-time 2 years. Tuition AED 107,484/year full-time (incl. VAT) or AED 53,742/year part-time.
