Dubai British School Emirates Hills (DBSEH) is a British international school in the Springs and Meadows area of Emirates Hills, Dubai, run by Taaleem. It opened in 2005 (KHDA's opening year; the UK register of British schools overseas gives 1 September 2005) and teaches FS1 to Year 13, with a Rising 3s class for children who have turned three by the December after they start. Since the 2025/26 year it has used two campuses a short walk apart: the Islands campus in Jumeirah Islands for Rising 3s to Year 2, and the main Emirates Hills campus for Years 3 to 13. The school gives its roll as about 1,500; KHDA counted 1,190 at its November 2023 inspection, before the Islands campus opened. Students follow the National Curriculum for England, take Pearson Edexcel and AQA IGCSEs and GCSEs in Years 10 and 11, and choose A Levels, BTECs or a mix of the two in the Sixth Form. KHDA has rated the school Outstanding at each inspection since October 2017, most recently in November 2023, and Education Development Trust's October 2021 British Schools Overseas report judged it an outstanding school. In 2025-26, 75 percent of GCSE grades were 9 to 7 and 33 percent were grade 9, and every A Level and BTEC student passed, with 59 percent of grades at A* to A and an average of 45 UCAS points. Tuition for 2026-2027 is KHDA's approved fee, unchanged because the school asked for no increase: AED 53,027 for FS1 to Year 2, 60,608 for Years 3 to 6, 71,976 for Years 7 to 11 and 79,541 for Years 12 and 13, billed in three terms. KHDA also prices the Rising 3s class at AED 53,027, which the school's own fee table does not list. Books are included; uniform, a device, transport, trips and exam fees are extra. New students pay a AED 525 application fee and a AED 4,000 registration fee, and returning students a AED 2,000 re-registration fee, both credited against Term 1. Siblings: 10% off for the third and each further child paying full fees. KHDA's fact sheets also list corporate discounts of up to 20%, academic scholarships and school management concessions of up to 100% and a AED 500 referral award, and Taaleem offers further benefits to employees of Emirates, flydubai, dnata and National Bonds. KHDA 2023–2024 inspection
FS1 and FS2 are taught at the Islands campus in Jumeirah Islands, used since the 2025/26 year. Learning is play-based across the three prime and four specific areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage, with two PE lessons a week (one of them swimming in FS1). A Rising 3s class, for children who turn three by the December after an August start, follows Development Matters and the Birth to 5 Matters guidance.
Years 1 and 2 are taught at the Islands campus. The primary curriculum is concept-based and rooted in the National Curriculum for England, with Moral, Social and Cultural Studies and the Positive Education Enhanced Curriculum built in, and PE twice a week.
Years 3 to 6 are taught at the main Emirates Hills campus. The STEAM curriculum starts in Year 3, with three projects a year (coding, drones, hydroponics); PE runs twice a week with swimming blocks, and the bring-your-own-device programme starts in Year 5.
Years 7 to 9 are taught by subject specialists at the main campus, following the National Curriculum for England with local content; the secondary school's subjects include geography and history, French and Spanish, art and design, drama and music, with Arabic, Islamic Studies and Moral, Social and Cultural Studies. STEAM projects continue to Year 9.
Years 10 and 11 take English Language, English Literature, mathematics and science as Pearson Edexcel International GCSEs, with Arabic, core PE and Moral, Social and Cultural Studies, plus four options chosen in blocks. In 2025-26, 75 percent of GCSE grades were 9 to 7, 53 percent were 9 to 8 and 33 percent were grade 9.
Students take three A Levels, three BTECs, or two of one and one of the other, chosen in five option blocks. In 2025-26 the A Level and BTEC pass rate was 100 percent, with 59 percent of grades at A* to A, 81 percent at A* to B and an average of 45 UCAS points.

Project space with a Maker Space, a Collaboration Zone and a Media and Technology Zone for 3D printing, VR and AR, robotics and IoT; the STEAM curriculum runs three projects a year from Year 3 to Year 9.
Art department for fine art, graphics, 3D work, sculpture, ceramics, photography and textiles, open through the day and for after-school clubs.
Music room with a wide range of instruments; visiting teachers give instrumental and vocal lessons, and secondary students use practice rooms for their bands and ensembles.
A primary library, where each class has a weekly library lesson, and a separate, quiet secondary library for reading, study and group work.
Outdoor, fully shaded, temperature-controlled pool used for swimming lessons across the school, morning and afternoon squad training, and house and inter-school galas.
Multi-purpose sports hall for PE (gymnastics, ball games, volleyball, badminton and basketball) and for the netball, volleyball and basketball teams and fixtures.
Fully enclosed AstroTurf sports field for PE, after-school activities and home fixtures in the DASSA calendar.
