About This Programme

The Electrical Engineering degree covers analog and digital integrated circuits, digital signal processing, radiation and propagation, power electronics, control systems, communications, circuit theory, computer architecture, computer-aided design, embedded systems, solid-state devices, microelectromechanical systems, robotics, energy and artificial intelligence. Design problems feature in a number of courses, beginning with the Freshman Practicum in the first year. Students can declare the Energy option or the AI option, or use their free and professional electives in energy, communications, AI and robotics without declaring one. Teaching is supported by labs in electronics, digital systems, communications, electromagnetic fields and transmission lines, smart energy, control and robotics, and by a digital transformation lab established in 2018 with TDRA/ICT Fund funding. The five-year sequence includes co-op and a two-semester multidisciplinary senior design project.
