About This Programme

4-year BSc (Hons) Psychology and Marketing, combined honours integrating psychology and marketing disciplines with emphasis on consumer behaviour and marketing psychology. Year 1 mandatory: Introduction to Psychology 1/2, Introduction to Marketing, Research Methods and Analysis 1/2, Academic Skills in Psychology, Becoming a Professional. Year 1 optional: Sustainable Business, Technology for Business. Year 2 mandatory: Developmental Psychology, Fundamentals of Marketing, Philosophy and History of Psychology, Research Methods 3 (Sep); Cognitive Psychology, Consumer Behaviour, Social Psychology, Research Methods 4 (Jan). Year 3 mandatory: Cross-Cultural Psychology, Research Methods 5, Cognition across the Lifespan (Sep); Biological Psychology, Personality and Individual Differences, Research Methods 6 (Jan). Year 3 optional: Global Strategic Marketing, Responsible Marketing, Marketing in Practice. Year 4 mandatory: Research Project 1, Contemporary Issues in Marketing (Sep); Research Project 2 (Jan). Year 4 optional: Psychology of Education, Workplace Psychology, Neuropsychology, Advanced Social Psychology, Branding, Digital Marketing, Marketing Sustainability, Cognitive Rehabilitation, Psychology and Mental Health, Counselling Psychology. Dissertation in Year 4 runs across both semesters. Year 2 advanced entry (Sep only): A-Level CCC inc. Psychology + Business/Marketing; IB 27 inc. mandatory HL subjects; CBSE 80%; BTEC L3 DDD; FBISE 85%; Scottish Advance Higher BC + BBBB. IELTS 6.0 (no band below 5.5). September and January intakes. Tuition AED 87,010/year (incl. VAT), total AED 348,040. Go Global recommended in Year 2 or first part of Year 3 to study in Edinburgh. 90%+ graduate employment within six months.

Entry Requirements

Academic: Our normal entry criteria are listed below. However, please note that the final decision remains at the discretion of the course director after evaluating scores of individual relevant subjects. Students who are eligible to be admitted directly into second year can choose to join the first year, where available. Similarly, students who are eligible to be admitted into the Advanced DEP programme can choose to join the DEP programme instead. GCE A-Level - CCD (or BBBB at AS Level) CBSE/Other Indian Boards – 70% American High School Diploma/SABIS - 70% + SAT - 1000(500 English + 500 Math) Tawjihiyya - 80% or Elite/Advance - 75% International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 24 points (3 HL subjects and 3 SL Subjects) BTEC Level 3 Ext Diploma - MMM African WAEC/NECO/WASSCE - B2 FBISE or grade 12 equivalent - 75% Russian/Kazakhstan (Attestat) - Grades of 5 in every subject + IELTS 6.0 French Baccalaureate - 13/20 + IELTS 6.0 Lebanese High School Diploma - 80% + SAT I – 1000 (500 English + 500 Math) or Lebanese Baccalauréat 13/20 + IELTS 6.0 Foundation year - Successful completion of Heriot-Watt Degree Entry Programme (Management/Psychology) with CCCC.
