About This Programme

The Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations will prepare students to deliver PR messages effectively within the modern communications environment. As the nature and channels of communication rapidly evolve, professionals in the industry need to be prepared to adapt to different communication forms, styles, and outlets in order to transmit their message and convince stakeholders. This program will teach students how to craft, deliver, and position PR messaging to maximum effect and to operate successfully as a public relations professional in an ever-changing communications context.

Course Highlights

  • CUD's Bachelor of Arts in Communication – Public Relations will teach students the knowledge and skills to research, write, publish, and edit PR content within local and international markets and across different outlets. The degree will provide students with the comprehensive foundations to practice within any public relations capacity in areas as varied as diplomacy, business, government, non-profit agencies, professional associations, healthcare companies, and international organizations.

Entry Requirements

Academic: A recognised High School Certificate: UAE Grade 12 with passing grades in all subjects, or an equivalent qualification from outside the UAE valid for public-university admission in its country of issue, completed over at least 12 years of schooling. British-curriculum applicants must have completed Year 13. Certificates issued outside the UAE require a Ministry of Education equivalency certificate.
English: A minimum score of 80% in Grade 12 English, or IELTS Academic 5.0, TOEFL iBT 61 or TOEFL ITP 500. Applicants who do not meet the English requirement enrol in the University's English for Academic Purposes (EAP) programme in their first semester and may register for up to 12 credit hours of General Education courses until the requirement is met.
