Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems
About This Programme
Management Information Systems connects technology and business. Students learn to analyse existing business processes and design information systems that add value to products and help managers make decisions, with a focus on data analytics, teamwork, leadership, customer service and the underlying business theories. The interdisciplinary major covers databases, networks and computer security as well as helping people use technology better, and prepares students for careers with enterprise technologies and the analysis, design and management of computer-based information systems. Students work with enterprise resource planning concepts and enterprise systems, learn to design usable, practical and cost-effective systems, and complete a co-op and an MIS capstone.
Course Highlights
- 123 credit hours over four years in RIT Dubai's typical course sequence
- One required co-op (MGIS-499), which students may complete in any term
- Core MIS courses: Information Systems and Technology, Database Management Systems, Systems Analysis and Design, Developing Business Applications and the MIS Capstone
