Overview

About Mamoura British Academy

Mamoura British Academy is a private, co-educational British school on Mohammed Bin Khalifa Street in Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi, part of Aldar Education and formerly known as Al Mushrif School. Opened in 2016, it follows the National Curriculum for England from the Early Years Foundation Stage through I/GCSE, A Level, BTEC and the EPQ (FS1 to Year 13, ages 3-18). Home to around 1,167 students from 51 nationalities — about two-thirds Emirati — and taught by 89 mostly UK-trained teachers at a 1:12 ratio, it is rated Very Good by ADEK (February 2025, "Very Good with outstanding features") and Outstanding in most standards under the UK's British Schools Overseas framework. A Microsoft Showcase School and the first Aldar school to win an Eco-Schools Green Flag — with students who have presented at COP28 — Mamoura combines strong results (98.9% of its first GCSE cohort at grade 4+) with a purpose-built campus featuring a 25m pool, six science labs and "The Matrix" innovation and library hub.
