About This Programme

One-year MSc Software Engineering covering software-engineering practice, advanced systems, and applied development. Mandatory September: Rigorous Methods for Software Engineering, Industrial Programming. Mandatory January: Advanced Software Engineering, Research Methods and Project Planning. Mandatory May: Masters Project and Dissertation. Optional September: Biologically Inspired Computation, Computer Network Security, Data Mining and Machine Learning, Computer Graphics. Optional January: Advanced Human Computer Interaction, Advanced Network Security, Applied Development and Operations (DevOps), Big Data Management, Games Programming. Specialisation areas: mobile application development, advanced interactive systems, games. Entry: a good Honours degree (first or second class) in computing or IT with substantial academic component in databases and programming; engineering or mathematics backgrounds also considered. IELTS 6.0 (no band below 5.5). September and January intakes (January part-time only). Full-time 1 year; part-time 30 months (24 + 6-month dissertation). Tuition AED 107,484/year full-time (incl. VAT) or AED 53,742/year part-time. Accreditations: BCS (Chartered Institute for IT); UAE MoHESR; UK Royal Charter; KHDA. 90%+ graduate employment within six months. Entry Requirements

Academic: For MSc entry, a good relevant Honours degree (first or second class) with a substantial academic component of computing or IT that includes study of databases and programming will be considered. Applicants with an engineering or mathematics background may also be considered. Accreditation & Professional Recognition

The Dubai Campus is accredited by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) and fully licensed to teach its degrees in Dubai. All graduates receive a British degree that is accredited by Royal Charter in the UK.
