About This Programme
One-year MSc Robotics introducing core robotics techniques, basic kinematics, robot control, navigation, planning, and human-robot interaction. Extensive training in robot programming (especially ROS) and practical implementation of solutions on real robots. Mandatory modules: Robotics Systems Science, Intelligent Robotics, Machine Vision, Robotic Mechanical Systems (full set covered across Sep + Jan based on intake order). Optional: Embedded Software, Critical Analysis and Research Preparation, Image Processing, Embedded Systems, Data Mining and Machine Learning, Biologically Inspired Computation, MSc Project. Career targets in fast-growing sectors: manufacturing, assistive/medical robotics, offshore energy, environmental monitoring, search and rescue, defence. Major employers in field include Apple, Google, Uber, Amazon, Facebook. Entry: Honours degree (first or second class) in electrical, electronics, mechanical, mechatronics, mathematics, computer engineering, computer science, or engineering physics; programming experience required. IELTS 6.0 (no band below 5.5). September and January intakes. Full-time 1 year; part-time 30 months across 4 semesters + dissertation. Tuition AED 107,484/year full-time (incl. VAT) or AED 53,742/year part-time. Accreditations: Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), undergoing reaccreditation for AY 2025/26; partly meets Chartered Engineer (CEng) requirements; UAE MoHESR; UK QAA. 90%+ graduate employment within six months. Entry Requirements
Accreditation & Professional Recognition
This programme is in the process of reaccreditation by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of partly meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer. Accreditation is awarded through a renewal-based and periodic accreditation review process which is currently underway for academic year 2025/26 entry. Candidates must hold a CEng accredited BEng/BSc (Hons) undergraduate first degree to fully meet the CEng registration educational requirements. This programme is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the UAE and the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) in the United Kingdom.
