About This Programme

One-year MSc Information Technology (Software Systems), software systems engineering with industry-aligned modular curriculum. Mandatory modules: Databases and Information Systems (Sep), Research Methods and Project Planning (Jan), Masters Project and Dissertation (May). Optional Semester 1: Computer Network Security, Industrial Programming, Intelligent Robotics, Computer Graphics, Software Engineering Foundations. Optional Semester 2: Advanced Human Computer Interaction, e-Commerce Technology, Games Programming, Data Visualisation and Analytics, Advanced Software Engineering. Entry: a good relevant Honours degree (first or second class) with substantial computing/IT components including databases and programming; engineering or mathematics backgrounds also considered. IELTS 6.0 (no band below 5.5). September and January intakes. Full-time 1 year; part-time 4 semesters + 6-month dissertation = 30 months. January starters study part-time only; no campus requirement during the summer break. Tuition AED 107,484/year full-time (incl. VAT) or AED 53,742/year part-time. Accreditations: BCS (CITP, Chartered IT Professional + CEng routes); Euro-Inf international quality assurance; UAE MoHESR; UK Royal Charter. 90%+ graduates in graduate-level jobs or further study within six months. What You'll Study

Year 1

Detailed course guide Full-time students take four courses in Semester 1 and a further four in Semester 2. Results from these examinations determine whether students progress to an individual project of four months’ duration leading to the MSc degree.. In addition to these taught courses, students pursuing the MSc qualification undertake a Masters project, which culminates in a dissertation.

Entry Requirements

Academic: For MSc entry, a good relevant Honours degree (first or second class) with a substantial academic component of computing or IT that includes study of databases and programming will be considered. Applicants with an engineering or mathematics background may also be considered.
