About This Programme

One-year MSc Data Science covering machine learning, big data management, statistical modelling, and data visualisation. Semester 1 (Sep) mandatory: Data Mining and Machine Learning, Statistical Modelling and Analysis. Sep optional (choose 2): Biologically Inspired Computation, Computer Network Security, Industrial Programming, Software Engineering Foundations. Semester 2 (Jan) mandatory: Big Data Management, Data Visualisation and Analytics, Research Methods and Project Planning. Jan optional (choose 1): Applied Text Analytics, Applied Development and Operations (DevOps), Advanced Software Engineering, Digital and Knowledge Economy. Final component: Masters Project and Dissertation (May). Entry: a good relevant Honours degree (first or upper second class) with substantial computing/IT components including databases and programming; engineering or mathematics backgrounds also considered. IELTS 6.0 (no band below 5.5). September and January intakes. Tuition AED 113,685/year full-time (incl. VAT) or AED 56,843/year part-time. Accreditations: BCS (CITP + CEng accreditation pathway), Euro-Inf international accreditation, UAE MoHESR, UK QAA. 90%+ graduates in graduate-level jobs or further study within six months. Entry Requirements

Academic: For MSc entry, a good relevant Honours degree (first or second class) with a substantial academic component of computing or IT that includes study of databases and programming will be considered. Applicants with an engineering or mathematics background may also be considered.
