GEMS Metropole School is a co-educational British curriculum school in Motor City, Dubai. Founded in 2014 and part of GEMS Education, it teaches the National Curriculum for England from FS1 to Year 13, with GCSE, IGCSE, A Level and BTEC qualifications. KHDA rated the school Good in 2023-2024, with Outstanding health and safety in every phase, Outstanding management, staffing, facilities and resources, and Very Good wellbeing and inclusion. Attainment and progress in English, mathematics and science are Very Good in Primary. At the British Schools Overseas inspection of April 2025 the school met all eight BSO standards, six of which were judged outstanding, including the quality of education, pupils' welfare, health and safety, the premises, and leadership and management. The school teaches over 4,100 students from 112 nationalities and is organised into four phases: Forest School (FS1 to Year 2), Values School (Years 3 to 6), Active School (Years 7 to 9) and Future School (Years 10 to 13). High Performance Learning is embedded throughout, and the school was awarded HPL World Class School status in 2024. The campus includes seven secondary science labs, a Black Box Theatre, the Al Noor Heritage and Culture Centre, Forest School areas, a school farm with hydroponics, a dance studio, a dojo and two multi-purpose sports halls. A GEMS Centre of Excellence for Sport, it runs the Under Armour High Performance Institute and fields Metropole Mustangs teams in DASSA and Dubai School Games competition. Duke of Edinburgh's International Award, Model United Nations, World Scholar's Cup and ThinkBusiness are among the enrichment programmes offered.

KHDA records that the school requested no increase for 2026-2027. Application fee AED 525 including VAT. Fees are billed in three terms (September to December, January to March, April to June) and are payable in advance of each term. The Foundation Stage Extended Day at the Little Acorns Creche is included at no additional cost; transport and uniform are separate and the school publishes no price for either.

KHDA 2023–2024 inspection
The Forest School phase runs from Foundation Stage 1 to Year 2 (ages 3 to 7) and leads learning through play in a dedicated Forest School environment, with nature-based learning, sustainability and outdoor exploration. Foundation Stage follows the EYFS framework; the school is an accredited The Curiosity Approach setting. Years 1 and 2 study the National Curriculum for England through a cross-curricular, thematic approach. In 2024 the proportion of children reaching a Good Level of Development rose to 81.3%, against a UK national average of 67.7% (BSO, April 2025). KHDA rated Science progress Very Good at Foundation Stage.
The Values School phase covers Years 3 to 6 (ages 7 to 11) and sets character education alongside academics, through a Junior School Ethical Leadership Curriculum that runs from "Why I want to be a leader" in Year 3 to "I am a leader!" in Year 6. Students choose French or Spanish. KHDA rated attainment and progress in English, mathematics and science Very Good in Primary, along with teaching and learning skills.
The Active School phase covers Years 7 to 9 (ages 11 to 14), the third phase of the Metropole journey. The curriculum is practical, student-led and enquiry-based, and the school exceeds in sport, supported by state-of-the-art facilities and expert coaching. Students take three PE lessons a week and can access a School of High Performance Curriculum covering sports nutrition, strength and conditioning, combat sports and sports psychology. Regular competitions, trips and enrichment promote teamwork, resilience and ambition. Subject-specialist teaching runs across seven secondary science labs, and Year 7 students take a weekly Activate lesson supporting transition into secondary school.
The Future School Key Stage 4 phase covers Years 10 and 11 (ages 14 to 16). Students take core English, mathematics, science and physical education and choose three options from three blocks, mixing GCSE and IGCSE courses with Pearson Edexcel and AQA alongside Level 2 iBTEC vocational qualifications and an ASDAN alternative pathway. In the August 2024 series the school reported its strongest results to date: an average iGCSE grade of 6 (B), with 98% of grades at 9 to 4 against a UK average of 77%, up from 83% in 2023. The school publishes 2024-2025 outcomes across 25 GCSE and IGCSE subjects, in which 99% of all English entries and every Science (All) entry were graded 9 to 4.
The Future School Sixth Form covers Years 12 and 13 (ages 16 to 18), offering 18 A Level and International AS/A Level courses alongside five Level 3 iBTEC courses. Students choose four subjects in Year 12. Entry is normally five GCSEs at grade 5 (C) or above plus subject prerequisites. A dedicated Sixth Form centre with leisure space and quiet study pods supports independent study. In the August 2024 series 84% of A Level grades were A* to C, against a UK average of 77%; in the 2024-2025 series every entry was graded A* to C in Art, Craft and Design, History and Media Studies.
