About GEMS Metropole School - Motor City

GEMS Metropole School is a co-educational British curriculum school located in Motor City, Dubai. Founded in 2014 and part of GEMS Education, the school follows the National Curriculum for England from FS1 through Year 13 offering GCSEs, A-Levels, and BTECs. Rated Good by KHDA for 2023-2024, the school achieved Outstanding ratings in health and safety and management across all phases, and Very Good in wellbeing and inclusion. The school operates a distinctive four-phase model: Forest School (FS1–Year 2), Values School (Year 3–6), Active School (Year 7–9), and Future School (Year 10–13), with High Performance Learning (HPL) embedded throughout. Very Good attainment and progress across all core academic subjects at primary. The extensive campus features seven science labs, a Black Box Theatre, Al Noor Heritage and Culture Centre, Forest School areas, a school farm with hydroponics, CrossFit area, dance studio, dojo, and two multi-purpose sports halls. Duke of Edinburgh Award, MUN, World Scholars Cup, and ThinkBusiness programmes offered.

Forest School (EYFS & KS1)

FS1–Year 2

The Forest School phase focuses on nature-based learning, sustainability, and environmental stewardship through outdoor exploration and discovery-driven education. EYFS framework with dedicated Forest School areas, outdoor classrooms, and student gardens. Very Good Science progress at Foundation Stage.

Values School (KS2)

Year 3–Year 6

The Values School phase integrates character education focusing on respect, kindness, empathy, and compassion alongside academics. Very Good attainment and progress across English, Mathematics, Science, and Teaching at primary. Community service and leadership development.

Active School (KS3)

Year 7–Year 9

The Active School phase balances rigorous athletics with academics, promoting teamwork, discipline, and perseverance through physical development and wellness. Subject-specialist teaching across seven science labs and specialist facilities.

Future School — GCSE (KS4)

Year 10–Year 11

The Future School phase prepares students for higher education through personalised GCSE learning, critical thinking, and global citizenship. Core subjects plus option choices.

Future School — A-Level / BTEC (KS5)

Year 12–Year 13

The Future School Sixth Form offers A-Level and BTEC Level 3 qualifications with dedicated Sixth Form Centre and leisure space. University destinations support and career guidance. Duke of Edinburgh Award centre.
