The BSc and MSc programs are designed to meet the UAE and regional needs with a global vision and standards. They prepare students for careers and for leadership roles in different types of industries including manufacturing and services, in both the public and private sectors. The BSc program is the first in the region to be accredited by ABET based on two criteria: Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management. We are proud that many of our BSc graduates are employed in renowned organizations such as ADCO, Emirates Group, Dubai International Airport, Dubal, Ducab, NPCC, DU, IBM, Unilever, Sharjah Municipality, RTA, Dubai Municipality, NAFFCO, DEWA, SEWA, etc. Moreover, our MSc students and graduates work and some of them hold leadership roles in many of these and other organizations. The department conduct research in diverse areas of industrial engineering and engineering management including supply chain management, quality management, maintenance management, project management, applied optimization, ergonomics, industrial safety, manufacturing systems and healthcare.
The IEEM program readies students for careers across industries involved in production, processing, manufacturing, and service sectors such as airports and hospitals. Job titles for graduates include Industrial Engineer, Management Engineer, Project Engineer, Quality Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Logistics Engineer, Plant Layout Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, and Production Engineer.
