What You'll Study
Studied full-time over four years on the Saadiyat Island campus, combining the NYUAD Core Curriculum, major coursework and electives, up to two semesters of Study Away across NYU's global network, and a required senior Capstone.
Foundations
Choose one course per foundational pair across anthropology, literature and Middle East history.
- Anthropology and the Arab World, or Gulf Urban Societies
- Introduction to Modern Arabic Literature, or Masterpieces of Pre-Modern Arabic Literature
- Emergence of the Modern Middle East, or Making of the Muslim Middle East
Core Seminar and Electives
A methods seminar plus at least four electives across the distributional areas, with an Arabic-language requirement.
