About This Programme
MBRU's Bachelor of Science in Nursing, taught at the Hind Bint Maktoum College of Nursing and Midwifery, is designed to prepare competent, compassionate professional nurses who deliver evidence-based care and integrate digital health and technology. It has three entry pathways: a four-year, 120-credit route for students entering from high school; a bridging route of 60 credits over four semesters for registered nurses with a diploma or associate degree; and an accelerated route of 105 credits over six semesters for holders of a bachelor's degree in a non-nursing field such as EMS, radiology, pharmacology, biology, biochemistry or chemistry. The curriculum integrates theory with clinical practice across diverse healthcare settings and with experiential and simulation-based learning, and includes courses such as innovation in health science and digital health, resilience in the health profession, health system science, and introduction to research and evidence-based practice. MBRU says the curriculum has been benchmarked against national, regional and international nursing education standards and aligned with national regulatory and accreditation requirements in the UAE. The degree was accredited in August 2025 and admitted its first cohort in August 2026. MBRU says graduates are prepared to provide high-quality nursing care across a variety of healthcare settings and populations, and to pursue further education and professional development in nursing.

What You'll Study
The high school entry option is offered full time over four years, with a maximum of six, and requires 120 credit hours; the RN-BSN bridging option runs over two years full time, with a maximum of four, and requires 60; and the second-degree accelerated option runs over three years full time, with a maximum of five, and requires 105. On every pathway students must complete all courses and clinical placements, meet attendance requirements, reach a cumulative GPA of at least 2.00 and complete at least one certification approved by the programme, such as Basic Life Support (BLS) or the Institute of Healthcare Improvement (IHI).

Entry Requirements
Interviews are scheduled after the application is submitted. Second-degree applicants from other countries need an ECE credential evaluation for their cGPA. MBRU does not accept transfer of admission, transfer credit or recognition of prior learning into the BSN.

Accreditation & Professional Recognition
Accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research through the Commission for Academic Accreditation, whose register lists the degree as Active; MBRU's catalog dates the accreditation to August 2025. The college says it intends to seek international accreditation for its undergraduate programmes during 2026-27.

MBRU's page shows the 2026-27 timeline, when applications ran from 13 October 2025 to 20 July 2026, interviews were scheduled between 1 November 2025 and 20 July 2026, and conditional offers followed two to three weeks after the interview. Tuition is AED 2,000 per credit hour: AED 60,000 a year and AED 240,000 in total from high school, AED 60,000 a year and AED 120,000 in total for the RN-BSN route, and AED 70,000 a year and AED 210,000 in total for the second-degree route. The application fee is AED 1,000 plus AED 50 VAT.
