The first and only programme in the Gulf region to offer a UK Civil Engineering degree. 4-year BEng (Hons) covering Structures, Geotechnics, Water Engineering, and Transportation Engineering, with progressive emphasis on design and management in specialist years. Year 1: Mechanics A/B, Construction Technology (Small Scale Buildings), Mathematics for Engineers and Scientists 1/2, Building Services Technology, Shaping Tomorrow Together. Year 2: Analysis of Determinate Structures, Hydraulics and Hydrology A, Surveying and GIS, Mathematics 3, Design Studies A, Problem Solving, Civil Engineering Materials, Stress Analysis and Element Strength, Statistics for Science. Year 3: Geology and Soil Properties, Indeterminate Structures, Design of Steel Elements, Transportation Systems Planning, Design of Concrete Elements, Environmental Technology and Management, Geotechnics A, Hydraulics & Hydrology B. Year 4 mandatory: Geotechnics B, Civil Engineering Design Project, Foundation Engineering, Dissertation (Civil and Architectural Engineering). Year 4 optional: Sustainability for Construction Professionals, Structural Element Design, Highway Engineering, Plastic Analysis of Structures, Urban Drainage Design and Analysis, Water and Wastewater Treatment. Year 1 entry: A-Level CCC (Math + Physics mandatory); IB 24 (3 HL inc. Math/Physics); CBSE 65%; American HS 70% + SAT I 1000; Tawjihiyya 80% (Elite 75%); FBISE 70%; BTEC L3 MMM; Scottish Highers BBBB; French Bac 12/20 + IELTS 6.0; Lebanese Bac 80% or 13/20 + IELTS 6.0; Russian/Kazakhstan Attestat grade 5 + IELTS 6.0. Year 2 advanced entry: A-Level BBC; IB 27; CBSE 85%; HND PPP; BTEC L3 DDD; FBISE 85%; Cert HE C minimum. IELTS 6.0 (no band below 5.5). September intake (Year 1 + Year 2 advanced); January intake via Certificate of Higher Education in Engineering (CHEE) pathway. Site visits embedded across curriculum. Tuition AED 82,264/year (incl. VAT), total AED 329,056. Accreditations: UAE MoHESR, UK QAA + Royal Charter, ICE (Institution of Civil Engineers), IStructE (Institution of Structural Engineers), CIHT (Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation), IHE (Institute of Highway Engineers), PWI (Permanent Way Institution). Accreditation & Professional Recognition
This programme is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the UAE and the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) in the United Kingdom. JBM This degree is accredited as meeting the requirements for further learning for a Chartered Engineer (CEng) for candidates who have already acquired a partial CEng (BEng) accredited undergraduate degree. Accreditation is a mark of assurance that the degree meets the standards set by the Engineering Council in the UK Standard for Professional Engineering Competence (UK-SPEC). An accredited degree will provide you with some or all of the underpinning knowledge, understanding and skills for eventual registration as an Incorporated (IEng) or Chartered Engineer (CEng). Some employers recruit preferentially from accredited degrees, and an accredited degree is likely to be recognised by other countries that are signatories to international accords. MoE and UK Royal Charter This programme is accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and also accredited and approved by the UK Royal Charter. All applicants seeking admission must secure equivalency for high school through the UAE Ministry of Education – Higher Education Affairs.
