Entry Requirements

Academic: A secondary-school average of about 85% (or in the best two of the last three years), with UAE Ministry of Education equivalency where required, and a minimum grade B in the mathematics and science subjects required for the major. American-curriculum applicants take the SAT or EmSAT mathematics test.
English: IELTS Academic 6.5, TOEFL iBT 4.5 (equivalent to 80 on the previous scale) or AUS Institutional TOEFL ITP 550. AUS accepts only TOEFL and IELTS, and scores are valid for two calendar years; transfer applicants may also present EmSAT Achieve English 1550.

A mathematics placement test determines direct entry to Calculus I.

Careers

Computer engineers design and build computing hardware and software systems - embedded and cyber-physical systems, IoT, computer networks, digital hardware and electronics - across technology, telecom, semiconductor and defence sectors.

Accreditation & Professional Recognition

Licensed by the UAE Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA); accredited by the ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC).
