Entry Requirements

Academic: A secondary-school average of about 85% (or in the best two of the last three years), with UAE Ministry of Education equivalency where required, and a minimum grade B in the mathematics and science subjects required for the major. American-curriculum applicants take the SAT or EmSAT mathematics test.
English: TOEFL iBT 80, IELTS Academic 6.5, or EmSAT Achieve English 1550.

A mathematics placement test determines direct entry to Calculus I.

Careers

Chemical engineers work in chemical and petrochemical processing, oil and gas, water and energy, food and pharmaceutical industries and pollution control, in design, process control, modelling, production and R&D. Emerging paths include process safety, clean energy, desalination, drug delivery and AI-driven process design.

Accreditation & Professional Recognition

Licensed by the UAE Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA); accredited by the ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC), reaffirmed through 2030.
