International Community School – Al Falah

International Community School – Al Falah (ICS Al Falah) is an American-curriculum school for boys and girls from Pre-KG to Grade 12 in New Al Falah City, Abu Dhabi. It is Branch 2 of International Community Schools (ICS), an Abu Dhabi group that grew from Al Ibrahimiyah School, founded in 1990. The school opened in September 2020 on a campus ICS built in Al Falah City to cater for over 3,500 students. English and mathematics follow California's Common Core standards and science the Next Generation Science Standards, while Arabic, Islamic Studies, Social Studies and Moral Education follow the UAE Ministry of Education curriculum, and the high school leads to the ICS Al Falah Diploma. ADEK rated the school Acceptable after its May 2025 inspection, with Good judgements for health, safety and safeguarding, for students' understanding of Islamic values and Emirati and world cultures, and for its work with parents; it then had 685 students, 625 of them Emirati. The campus has a theatre seating over 500, a swimming pool, gymnasiums, four libraries, science and ICT labs, and outdoor pitches and courts.

School Fee is the school's listed 2026-27 tuition, which equals ADEK's approved fee from KG1 to Grade 12 (licence 9313, approval letter of 19 April 2026); ADEK's figure is the most the school may charge, and its schedule has no Pre-KG line. For 2026-27 the school also gives new students a discount of 10% in Pre-KG, 20% in KG1 and KG2, 15% in Grades 1 to 6 and 10% in Grades 7 to 12 (KG2, for example, AED 26,400 instead of AED 33,000), credited in full against Term 3 fees and only for a student enrolled for the full academic year. Books and uniform are charged on top; the school's own totals for a new student, after the discount, run from AED 27,050 in KG1 to AED 43,731 in Grade 12. The school bus is optional.

ADEK 2024–2025 inspection
Pre-KG, KG1 and KG2. Phonics is taught through Twinkl Phonics, with levelled readers in the KG and Elementary library, a KG reading corner and classrooms equipped with learning centres and manipulatives (ADEK, May 2025). Arabic is taught through play in a native-speaker and a non-native pathway, six 40-minute lessons a week in KG1 and KG2 (the school's KG Arabic policy).
English and mathematics follow California's Common Core State Standards and science the NGSS, with Arabic, Islamic Studies, UAE Social Studies and Moral Education taught to the UAE Ministry of Education curriculum. NWEA MAP and the Arabic Benchmark Test start in Grade 3, and the school entered Grade 4 students for TIMSS in 2023 and PIRLS in 2021 (ADEK, May 2025).
The Common Core, the NGSS and the UAE Ministry subjects continue. MAP runs to Grade 9 and the Arabic Benchmark Test to Grade 10, CAT4 is used for selected students in Grades 3 to 11, and the school entered Grade 8 students for TIMSS in 2023. Academically advanced students can take some high school mathematics in Grade 8 (the 2025-26 course catalog).
Grades 9 to 12 lead to the ICS Al Falah Diploma, which needs at least 26 credits (30 recommended for university preparation), including four each in English, mathematics, science and Arabic. Mathematics runs from Algebra 1 to Calculus, the sciences add Pre-AP courses, and electives include French, Art and Design, Forensic Science, Environmental Science and Programming. The 2025-26 course catalog says the school has applied to join the College Board's AP Program (ADEK's May 2025 report calls AP planned), and students take EmSAT in Grade 12.

The ICS Al Falah Theater has a professional stage, lighting and sound systems and tiered seating for over 500, and the school also lets it for private hire (the school's facilities page).

Principal
Principal of ICS Al Falah; she signs the school's 2025-26 course catalog and approved its Assessment Policy in November 2025. Her message on the school's website cites over 19 years in educational leadership, curriculum development and accreditation, earlier roles as Director of Schools, Schools Quality Improvement Officer, Vice Principal and Academic Advisor, and certification as an Irtiqa'a inspector, ELIOT assessor and Cognia evaluator. She holds a Master's in International Education and Administration from Massachusetts and is pursuing a PhD in International Education in the United States.
