German International School Dubai

German International School Dubai (Deutsche Internationale Schule Dubai, DISD) is a leading German school located in Dubai Academic City, established in 2008. The school follows the Thuringian curriculum (Thuringer Lehrplan) and awards the globally recognised German International Abitur (DIA), alongside the Hauptschulabschluss and Mittlere Schulabschluss qualifications. Part of a network of over 140 German schools abroad registered by the German Ministry of Education, DISD serves approximately 950 students from over 30 nationalities across a modern, purpose-built campus. The school emphasises German language mastery from kindergarten and guides students to native-level proficiency in multiple languages including German, English, Arabic, and French. DISD earned its first Very Good KHDA rating in the 2023-2024 inspection, with 37 improved ratings across six key performance standards - a level of improvement rarely seen in a well-established school. The campus features specialist MINT (STEM) labs, smartboard-equipped classrooms, iPad-integrated learning, and dedicated music and art rooms. Since its first Abitur graduating class in 2012, the school has produced over 350 Abitur holders.
Fees for 2026/2027, per year group. Excludes registration, uniform, and transport.
Fees are the KHDA-approved annual tuition for 2026/2027. The school's own fee table is still headed 2025/26, but KHDA's fact sheet for every year group carries the same figures under 2026-2027, and the school's table has been in force unchanged since 1 March 2024. KHDA registers no discount here, so the approved fee is the fee charged. Tuition includes textbooks, and excludes class trips, school outings, transport, uniform from Grade 1, canteen, the iPad required from Grade 1, and afternoon activities. German as a foreign or second language is a separate AED 4,800 a year and is offered in kindergarten only.
