About This Programme

AURAK's MSRE is a two-year, 30 credit-hour degree in renewable energy technologies including solar, wind, geothermal and hydropower, alongside energy management, energy storage and energy policy. The revised programme runs two pathways: a Project option of five core courses, four electives and an Applied Project, and a Thesis option of five core courses, two electives and a research thesis.

Entry Requirements

Academic: A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline. AURAK sets the graduate minimum entry CGPA at 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
English: Academic IELTS 6.0 or an equivalent recognised score. Applicants whose bachelor's degree was taught in English may be considered under AURAK's equivalency rules.

Applications are made online. AURAK's admissions application deadline for Fall 2026 is 30 August 2026 and for Spring 2027 is 3 January 2027.
