American School of Dubai (ASD) is an independent, not-for-profit U.S. curriculum school in Al Barsha, established in 1966, predating the founding of the UAE. One of the oldest and most respected international schools in Dubai, ASD serves over 2,065 students from 87 nationalities on a 23-acre, one-million-square-foot campus featuring a 630-seat performing arts theatre, two 25-metre swimming pools, six tennis courts, and over 100 classrooms. Rated Good by KHDA and accredited by the Middle States Association (MSA) since 1976, the school offers a comprehensive U.S. college-preparatory curriculum from PreK through Grade 12 with 92% of eligible students taking AP courses and 82% scoring 3 or above (vs 60% global average). ASD students average 1,320 on the SAT (vs 1,060 global). A Reggio Emilia-inspired Early Learning programme, over 400 co-curricular activities, and 100% tuition reinvestment in student learning make ASD a flagship American school in the region.

The figures shown are tuition, as both KHDA and the school label them for 2026-2027. They are not the whole bill. Students from K2 to Grade 12 who do not hold a corporate seat also pay an annual facility fee of AED 12,984, and new non-corporate students pay a one-off capital fee of AED 22,000, which the school allows to be spread over three annual instalments of AED 7,333. KHDA's "Total Fees" column adds both, so it describes a new student rather than a returning one. KHDA records that the school requested no increase for 2026-2027. ASD is not-for-profit and states that all tuition is reinvested in student learning.
