

American Gulf School (AGS) is a private, co-educational school in the Al Rahmaniyah community of Sharjah, opened in 2021 and chaired by Sheikh Majid Al Qasimi. It is the only school in Sharjah to offer the full International Baccalaureate continuum, the Primary Years (PYP), Middle Years (MYP), Diploma (DP) and Career-related (CP) programmes, delivered alongside a US California Common Core base in the primary years, from Pre-KG to Grade 12 (ages 3-18). A small, well-resourced school of around 451 students (roughly 63% Emirati) with an exceptional teacher-to-student ratio of about 1:8, it features three STEAM and robotics labs and two libraries, and earned a Good rating from SPEA in its first full inspection (March 2024) with Phase 1 rated Very Good.
